77 participants from across the world joined CVEinAI’s 1st online Awareness Webinar on Virtual Exchange (VE) Facilitation on 15 October 2025, exploring the pedagogy and the structure of Critical Virtual Exchange.
Organised by UNIMED – Mediterranean Universities Union and UNICollaboration, the session introduced CVEinAI project, building AI literacy, ethical awareness and intercultural dialogue across European and Sub-Saharan African Higher Education institutions, within Erasmus+ Virtual Exchanges.
The speakers included members of the CVEinAI consortium and experienced VE practitioners, as follows:
- Ana Beaven, Facilitation Trainer at UNICollaboration
- Lorenza Bacino, Facilitation Trainer at UNICollaboration
- Mildred Atieno Ayere, Director at eCampus, Maseno University
The team walked through CVEinAI’s pedagogy and explained the facilitator’s role in creating safe, equitable spaces and keeping groups on track across tasks.
Upcoming CVEinAI facilitation training
Speakers described how the training will deepen facilitation skills and develop critical, context-aware AI perspectives.
CVEinAI will offer two training pathways for facilitators:
- Track 1 Asynchronous (3–28 November 2025): ~2–3 hours/week async + a weekly 90-minute live session on Mondays (2:30–4:00 PM CET).
- Track 2 Synchronous (1–12 December 2025): four live sessions (Weds 4:00–8:00 PM CET; Fri 10:00 AM–2:00 PM CET).
